The story of The Bulldog starts in 1974, in the middle of the red light district. When Henk de Vries just turned 24 years old, he inherited his father’s sex shop. He tried his best to serve the people who came in for the most freaky requests, but pretty soon he was sick and tired of these weird desires. Until one day, he had enough of it and threw the inventory of the sex shop into the canal.
2. Amsterdam Coffeeshop
Coffeeshop Amsterdam is one of the oldest and coziest coffeeshops in Amsterdam. We started out as De Dampkring in 1993. Our coffee shop has always been the place to meet like-minded people and make new friends. It is also a safe environment. Our experienced employees know what to do if something goes wrong. You can consume cannabis with us without coming into contact with street dealers or hard drugs. And without being arrested by the police.
Coffeeshop Amsterdam is cozy. But also modern. Our house was built in the 18th century, but inside you are in the now. Rough brick walls and natural colors give our coffee shop a unique look. See for yourself!

5. Hunter’s Coffeeshop
The Hunters story began in 1985 in the well-known Warmoestraat. Not with coffee, but with a dog. Here, at this famous location near Amsterdam's Red Light District, amidst all the kitties, a dog named Hunter's marked his territory by taking a well-aimed leak against the facade. The dog owner thought this was a great location and the first Hunter's Coffeeshop was born. Hunter's territory has now expanded and you will find the well-known logo with the dog everywhere in Amsterdam.

Absolutely great place to have your coffee and smoke. Music is on point not to loud but just enough. the weed excellent. The staff are really helpful
The Jolly Jolker is a classic coffee shop, lots of light and great views through big storefront-style windows. It is located in the tourist area near the Waag at new market Amsterdam. If you are in Amsterdam you have to come through! It's not just a coffeeshop ! You will never forget memories of Amsterdam after take a break in the Jolly Joker.
