Old West

Bordering on the city centre, Oud-West is chock full of hip wine bar, concept stores and coffe bars. Moreover, De Hallen- an old tram de pot with a fantastic food market and a nine-room cinema- is located here.

Oud-West  was constructed during the rapid expansion of the city at the end of the 19th century. This trendy neighbourhood is home to many great restaurants, boutiques and concept stores. The busy Overtoom is a

prime street for furniture shopping.

Coffee making has become an art form in Oud-West, and quality coffee is always within a stone's throw. Super trendy vegan restaurants and (natural) wine bars are also well represented in the area, particularly around the Ten Katenmarkt. You will also find De Hallen in this neighbourhood, a former tram depot that has been beautufully renovated and now houses a design hotel, a cinema, a shop with local products, and a food hall.

Oud-West is also called Hallenkwartier.
